(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Syria's prime minister Wael Nader al Halqi survives a bomb attack in central Damascus, according to reports.
State-run TV reported that the blast went off near a school in the capital's western neighbourhood of Mazzeh.
The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human RIghts said the explosion killed the prime minister's bodyguard.
Damascus has been hit by a string of bomb blasts in recent months that has left hundreds of people dead or wounded.
